OK, he's actually 5 weeks old, but today was our little man's check-up with his pediatrician. He weighed a whopping 12 pounds! So he's in the 97th percentile, which is familiar territory for our babies. He's 21.5 inches, which is only the 50th percentile. His head circumference is in the 75th percentile. So we've got a chubby little guy on our hands.
We're still not sure what color his eyes are. They're a little dark blue with some brown mixed in there. We'll have to wait and see. He's very alert when awake. Just like Sahara, he has his head on a swivel and is always looking around to see what's happening. In the last couple weeks, he's had episodes of fussiness. It could be colic or acid reflux or something else. We've tried removing dairy, chocolate and peanut butter from Amy's diet, but aren't sure it's helped. Anyway, he's good nateured most of the time, so we can't complain. He usually sleeps in 3 hour stretches at night, which is pretty decent at his age.
His favorite things are when his sister gets right up in his face and talks to him, looking at lights and eating. Least favorite things are being cold and diaper changes.

Are the episodes of fussiness in the evening? That's what Rosalie did, and from what I can tell it was just a phase we had to go through. We had to try different things every night, but swaddling, the swing, bouncing, the pacifier (which she hardly ever took, but sometimes really wanted), and keeping lights dim all seemed to help us make it through.
