Gavi vs. The Push Toy

Gavin is on the move! He's just shy of walking, but can stand on his own for long stretches and gets around in other ways. He's a stairs fanatic and loves to play chase up the stairs with daddy. Daddy growls and starts crawling up after him and he squeals with excitement and goes up a few steps. Then he turns around to see where daddy's at and it begins again.

Gavin has a push toy that allows him to walk around most anywhere. It's not meant for off-road action, but don't tell Gavin that. He gets going pretty fast with that thing. The big breakthrough came when we finally got him some shoes. We'd been looking for a weeks, and even ordered
(and returned) a couple pairs. But nothing fit his chubby, wide feet with no ankles. We try and go cheap on shoes at this age, since they grow so fast, but we had to fork out the cash to get Gavi's shoes. They are nice and have room to grow, so hopefully they'll last the better part of the summer. Anyway, once he had shoes, all surfaces where fair game. Gavi and his push toy know no limits. Well, relatively few.

Note: In the last picture, notice Sahara's self-inflicted hairdo. If you have small children, keep the scissors out of reach;-)
