What's he even saying with that look? That he's going to jump his new scooter off the roof of the house? We had originally planned to get Sahara a scooter for Christmas. Her bike is too small now and she's been wanting a scooter. But Gavi has shown such interest in scooters lately that we knew we had to get them each one.

Gavin mastered standing and looking cool on the scooter before learning to wearing new fireman helmet the right way.

Here's Gavin on his scooter with a cowboy hat. We made an investment in boy outfits this Christmas because Sahara and all of the girl cousins have tons of princess dresses and they play dress-up frequently. Gavin, of course, doesn't want to be left out, so he hops into a frilly yellow dress with straps and marches down the stairs with the other princesses. Daddy looks on uneasily and mutters something about getting that kid some boy outfits. Besides, with diapers and a pot belly, Gavi fills those dresses out in all the wrong places.

A new scooter imbues one with a sense of freedom. But if that sense of freedom is found to be insufficient, try taking off your pants when you ride it.
