Splish-splash!

Ah, the nightly ritual. Sahara loves bath time. She gets frantically excited when we bring her in and start prepping her for the big plunge. Then it's time to splash water up the walls and play with her toys.
Sahara saw the doctor today. At 7 and a half months, she weighs 19 pounds and 1 ounce, so she's begun to slow down a bit (that's a good thing--400 pound girls don't usually get asked to the prom). Part of the reason she's ratcheted back on the weight may be due to the fact that she doesn't nurse or bottle-feed worth beans during the day. Too much to do and see to be bothered, I guess. She's just amazingly curious and doesn't intend to miss a second of the action. About the only way Amy can get her to drink is to give her a bottle while she's asleep. She'll down a 6-8 ounce bottle then. The doctor says to give her more solid food during the day and continue with the liquids at night. Once she starts crawling--which looks to be soon--she'll develop more of a day time appetite.
Sahara has learned to launch herself from a sitting position to a crawling position. She then rocks back and forth, eyes whatever it is that has captured her attention, then lunges forward onto her tummy with outstretched arm. She's also become a chronic roller. She's been able to roll for a long time, but never shown much interest until recently. It seems she's discovered that she can string a few rolls together and maneuver around the room. We have to keep a close eye on her when she' on the changing table. There have already been escape attempts.
