Here's what's new with Sahara at 7 weeks:
• She's grown long, curly eye lashes--very cute! Her eyes are still blue and it looks like they'll stay that way.
• She now gets little baby tears when she cries. This is a real killer for dad, and pretty much guarantees that Sahara will get whatever she wants.
• She's staying up longer--or trying to. Getting her down for a nap during the day is a challenge, and she'll often bounce back up after just a few minutes of sleep. Eventually she crashes, and it aint pretty.
• She often gets distracted while nursing because she's gazing up intently at mommy.
• She'll seldom take a pacifier (we've tried several) but loves daddy's pinky finger.
• She's begun to spit up frequently. The first month it was just burps, now it's so much more!
• Her motor skills are improving and her neck keeps getting stronger, as demonstrated by her Bumbo seat use.
• She smiles a lot more, is increasingly interactive and has a budding personality.
• She loves being held or sat upright (as opposed to being horizontal). I think she wants to feel like one of the big people and be a part of the action.
